The 49ers have ruled six players out in Week 3, including tight end George Kittle (knee), quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle), as well as running backs Tevin Coleman (knee) and Raheem Mostert (knee), defensive end Dee Ford (back) and linebacker Dre Greenlaw (quad).
Cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon (hamstring) is also listed as questionable.
But that is not all. Cornerback Richard Sherman, wide receivers Deebo Samuel, Tavon Austin, Jalen Hurd, Chris Thompson, and Richie James, defensive linemen Nick Bosa and Solomon Thomas, and offensive lineman Ross Reynolds are among the many players on IR for San Francisco.
Although the 49ers have a deep and talented roster, there’s no denying this is a tremendous advantage for the Giants.
