The Dallas Cowboys will kick off training camp later this month. And, once again, the fanbase has Super Bowl aspirations for America’s Team. With a returning, healthy offense and a new coordinator over the defense, the Cowboys are hoping to shake off their poor outing from last season.

In order to do so, the organization is going to need to see some growth this summer from several players. And a handful will need a great performance to keep their status on the team. With that in mind, here are five Cowboys who really need to hit the ground running when camp begins to ensure Dallas gets off to a great start.

While the Cowboys were unable to obtain one of the draft’s top cornerbacks in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, they found themselves a decent consolation prize in Kentucky corner Kelvin Joseph.

Joseph possesses first-round talent, but concerns about his maturity and lack of playing experience led to him falling to the Cowboys in the second round (44th overall). Between his time at LSU and Kentucky, he played a total of only 15 college games. Now he’s attempting to make the difficult leap to the NFL.

Now consider the fact that the inexperienced Joseph missed a good portion of OTAs due to being in quarantine for 10 days due to COVID-19, and it’s clear that if he’s going to make a substantial impact as a rookie, he’ll have to have an amazing training camp.
