It’s a post-Christmas edition of the “Gang’s All Here” podcast with Brian Costello. Coz opens the show previewing the matchup Sunday against the Bills to close the season, what the game means for the Jets and what the feeling is inside the locker room as the season is wrapping up.
Longtime NY Post football columnist Steve Serby then drops by the pod. He talks about what the game means for the Jets going into the offseason, looks back at last year’s Jets-Bills matchup and explains why the Jets will win this game. He also discusses the progression of Sam Darnold in his second year. Serb then shares a funny story of having to show up unannounced outside Bill Parcells’ house and the legendary coach sitting in the back seat to chat. Coz tells the story of the time he showed up to Carlos Beltran’s house in Puerto Rico before he officially signed with the Mets.
Coz and I then give out the best player of the decade at each position for the Jets. Some of these were obvious, and many of them were difficult. It was a decade full of losing for Gang Green, so this was a difficult list to put together.
I close the show with “Brown’s Best Bets” for Week 17. It is full of three underdog picks…teams that are not getting enough respect by Vegas. I also give my three-team parlay that you should hammer to close the regular season, which includes a few overs.
