Broncos agree to terms with K Brandon McManus on...

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — One of the most accurate kickers in Broncos history will be in orange and blue for the foreseeable future.

The Broncos have agreed to terms with kicker Brandon McManus on a four-year extension that runs through 2024, the team announced Friday.

He posted one of the best seasons of his career in 2019 as he made 85.3 percent of his field goals.

The Broncos acquired McManus in 2014 via a trade with the New York Giants, and he has gone on to be one of the most prolific kickers in Denver history over the past six years.

McManus ranks second in Broncos history in career field goal percentage with a .815 conversion rate. With a made field goal against the Titans on Monday, McManus would move past Matt Prater into sole possession of third place for the most field goal makes in franchise history. He could conceivably move into second place this season, as well, as he needs just 11 field goals to pass Jim Turner.

The Temple product has also left his mark in the postseason, as he has the franchise’s best make percentage among kickers with at least five field goals. McManus has never missed a playoff kick, as he made all 10 during the Broncos’ run to a Super Bowl 50 title.

McManus ranks fifth on the team’s all-time leading scoring list.
