Sunday was for the kids. Broncos quarterback Drew Lock, only 23 years and 28 days old, got his first road start, in Houston, and brought his fellow 20-somethings along for one hell of a ride.

“I thought he played much better (Sunday in Houston) than he did the week before (against the Chargers),” Fangio said. “His passing was more accurate and more crisp than the week before, and he made some plays with his legs, which was good. Overall, he’s had a good two-week start to his career.

“But it’s two games. He’s done well for two games, and that’s about all it is.”

Denver Broncos safety Kareem Jackson did his best over the past week to deflect questions about his return to Houston, the city he called home for nine seasons.

On Sunday, his actions spoke far more loudly than his words. Jackson, a first-round pick by the Texans in 2010, starred as he and the Broncos rolled to a 38-24 victory over the Houston Texans.

UNSTOPPABLE PERFORMANCE: Drew Lock, QB, Broncos

Lock was a big-play machine against the Texans, producing seven plays over 20 yards, including four of his first eight throws.
