ENGLEWOOD, Colo. —The Broncos have hired the Chicago Bears’ Pierre Ngo as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach, the team announced Thursday.

Ngo spent the last six seasons with the Chicago Bears, including the last five as an assistant strength coach.

Before his stint in Chicago, Ngo worked with the Jets as a strength and conditioning intern in 2012 and an assistant strength and conditioning coach in 2013.

Ngo has also worked as an assistant strength coach at Arizona State in 2011 and as a strength and conditioning coaching assistant at UCLA in 2014. At both colleges, he worked with the football teams. He worked with other sports teams, as well, at Arizona State. He previously served as a strength and conditioning intern with Arizona State (2007) and UNLV (2008-09).

Before working directly with football teams, Ngo worked at the Philippi Sports Institute in Las Vegas from 2009-11. While there, he trained NFL and other professional athletes.

Ngo played collegiate football at Langston University (Oklahoma) before walking on at University of Oklahoma to finish his career.

Ngo joins Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Loren Landow and Assistant Strength and Conditioning coaches Cedric Smith, Korey Jones and Emily Zaler on the Broncos’ staff. Former Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach Anthony Lomando recently accepted a role with the Chargers, according to an ESPN report.
