Ahead of last season, 67 NFL players opted out for the year due to concerns over the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The Seattle Seahawks had only one such player, offensive lineman Chance Warmack, who the team had signed earlier to a one-year deal.

The deadline to opt-out for the 2021 season was on July 2, ahead of the holiday weekend. Not a single player around the league opted out for the upcoming year.

“No NFL players are believed to have opted out of the 2021 season, per source,” NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero tweeted on Tuesday. “The deadline to inform clubs was Friday and no such transactions were submitted for today’s personnel notice after the holiday weekend.”

The 2021 NFL regular season is set to kick off on Thursday, Sept. 9.
