Former New York Giants great Tiki Barber and his twin brother, Ronde, are part owners in a franchise in the Fan Controlled Football venture which is “pro football re-imagined for the modern digital world. Real games played in a single, high tech studio arena and streamed live on Twitch where the fans call the plays.”
As per Touchdown Wire, the Knights of Degen will be fronted by their founders and community members, which include NFL legends Tiki and Ronde Barber, Jerry Ferrara, Cynthia Frelund from the NFL Network, Jasmine Maietta from Round21, Drew Austin, and others.
FCF is a “condensed version of the outdoor game. 7-on-7, 3-man line, a real sideline, and big time athletes doing what they do best.”
The games will take place on Saturdays on Twitch and players will be in full uniform, ready for full contact on a 50-yard field. There is no kicking or special teams and games will have a one-hour running clock.
