Garrett Wilson says he will play Sunday against Bills

WR Garrett Wilson, who is listed as questionable for Sunday’s matchup against the Buffalo Bills due to an elbow injury, said he will play, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The wide receiver was limited in practice all three days this week, but said Friday that he was “feeling good” and expressed his confidence in playing in the Week 11 game.

Wilson has been on a strong stretch the past four games, totaling 31 receptions for 363 yards with at least seven catches in each game. Over nine games this season, he’s made 55 catches for 642 yards and two touchdowns.

Nov. 18, 2:20 p.m.

The Jets updated their latest injury report to add cornerback Michael Carter II. He’s considered questionable for Sunday’s game against the Bills in Buffalo with a hamstring injury.

Carter II’s designation makes that three players who are questionable for the Jets’ Week 11 matchup, which already includes DL Will McDonald and wide receiver Garrett Wilson. Although Wilson told reporters Friday he’s going to play, it’s wait-and-see at this point.

The Jets have already ruled out OL Duane Brown, linebackers Sam Eguavoen and Chazz Surratt, OL Billy Turner and tight end Kenny Yeboah.

Nov. 17, 1:53 p.m. 

Just hours after Jets head coach Robert Saleh cautioned that Garrett Wilson still had a few more hurdles to clear for Sunday’s game against the Bills, the wide receiver sounded much more confident that he would suit up.

“It’s doing better, we’re feeling good. We’re gonna rock this weekend,” Wilson told reporters on Friday.

Asked whether or not that meant he was good to go for Sunday, Wilson replied, “Yeah, I think so,” but also cautioned that it could still impact his performance.

“We’ll get it done,” he added. 

Following Wilson’s comments, the Jets injury report officially listed Wilson as questionable heading into the weekend with an elbow injury.
