The NFL and NFLPA have now agreed to a $208.2 million salary cap ceiling for 2022 per source, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

“There is no cap floor as of now,” Pelissero tweeted on Wednesday. “The sides agreed last August to spread the COVID-related revenue shortfall from 2020 over several years, and the cap dropped to $182.5M this year.”

Pelissero included more information in his next tweet.

“The final salary cap won’t be set until February, and it could land below $208.2M in 2022 depending on revenue projections,” Pelissero wrote in his next tweet. “But this is a step back in the right direction, with major cash from new media deals, gambling, etc., expected to spike the cap in 2023 and beyond.”
