The National Football League has some tough decisions to make heading into the 2020 NFL season. With COVID-19 cases on the rise across the county, the NFL has now canceled the Pro Football Hall of Fame game and enshrinement ceremony and rescheduled the events for next year.

If and when the rest of the preseason games will be played is still up for discussion and will be a topic owners plan to address Thursday during a video conference meeting hosted by the league. Training camps are still set to kick off on July 28 for most teams, but the idea of cutting two exhibition games this summer is still on the table.

The NFL and NFLPA are also still in talks about the protocols that need to be in place to ensure the safe opening of team facilities.

Owners will also be discussing ways to combat systemic racism and tackle diversity issues throughout the league.

Any decisions made on Thursday will likely be reported later in the day.
