Taylor Lautner would gladly play Patriots star in...

Fresh off telling New Orleans Saints ex-coach Sean Payton’s story in “Home Team” (God, ex-coach feels so weird to say there, doesn’t it), Hollywood star Taylor Lautner is ready to make his next football movie.

Or, at least, he agreed to participate when the time is right for the New England Patriots to tell Tom Brady’s story.

Lautner spoke with FanSided on Thursday from the comforts of the 2022 Super Bowl Sleepover Suite at SoFi Stadium presented by Courtyard by Marriott — or, as he called it, “Heaven”.

It’s not difficult to see why he was so comfortable, either, and he’s helping Marriott give away an overnight stay to one lucky fan (and a guest), who’ll wake up Super Bowl Sunday already inside the stadium, experiencing similar luxury.

Taylor Lautner will portray any NFL character, Saints or Patriots

Lautner is an NFL diehard, professing his love for Payton, Rams OT Andrew Whitworth, and his hometown ex-Lions QB Matthew Stafford over the course of our short time together.

It’s worth noting that he and Payton shared a previous relationship, paving the way for him to star alongside Kevin James in “Home Team,” the story of Payton’s time away from the NFL as the offensive coordinator for his sixth-grader son’s football team. It also made promoting the film particularly interesting considering Payton’s recent retirement, which Lautner learned of while on a plane next to his fiancee.

“I was sleeping during the plane ride … I wake up, and she was like, ‘Babe, Sean retired’. I was, like, ‘What?!’. I saw it coming, I didn’t see it coming … as a Saints fan, I’m devastated. As a friend of Sean’s, I’m so excited for him and the next chapter in his life. And who knows? This may not be the last time we see him on a football field. We’ll see.”

It likely will be the end of the road for Brady, though, which means it’s time for TB12’s Hollywood ending to go … well, Hollywood.

And, when that time comes, Lautner will be more than happy to step in as … Tedy Bruschi, though it might take some “Twilight”-level bulking up.

“Absolutely. That would be an honor. To be a part of the GOAT’s legacy in any way, I would jump on that opportunity.”
