Former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Torrey Smith is walking away from the game of football after spending eight years in the NFL. The 30-year-old Smith announced his decision to retire in a video for UNINTERRUPTED:

Smith will walk away ranked third in yards per catch among active players, as his 16.1-yard average per catch was behind DeSean Jackson (17.4) and Josh Gordon (17.3).

A second-round pick out of Maryland in 2011, Smith spent the first four seasons of his career with the Baltimore Ravens. He eventually spent two seasons with the San Francisco 49ers before joining the Philadelphia Eagles and the Carolina Panthers for one season.
