Where Giants’ 2022 strength of schedule ranks...

The 2022 NFL draft is just around the bend and that will be followed by the final wave of free agency. Those two events will likely change the NFL’s power structure, but Las Vegas waits for no man.

Already, strength of schedule models are already being established based off of projected win totals.

With those projected win totals in mind, NFL analyst Warren Sharp broke down the strength of schedule for all 32 teams. And as it turns out, the New York Giants are in relatively good shape. They’re projected to have the league’s eighth-easiest schedule (as of this writing).

Here’s a look at the full list of Giants home and road opponents in 2022, along with their projected win totals:

Home: Dallas Cowboys (10.5), Philadelphia Eagles (8.4), Washington Commanders (7.4), Chicago Bears (6.8), Detroit Lions (6.1), Houston Texans (4.5), Indianapolis Colts (9.5), Baltimore Ravens (9.7), Carolina Panthers (6.0)

Away: Dallas Cowboys (10.5), Philadelphia Eagles (8.4), Washington Commanders (7.4), Seattle Seahawks (6.4), Tennessee Titans (9.5), Minnesota Vikings (9.0), Jacksonville Jaguars (6.4), Green Bay Packers (11.2)

Of Giants’ 14 upcoming opponents, just four playoffs last year (Cowboys, Eagles, Titans and Packers).

As far as the Giants themselves, their early win total projection is set at 7.0. That would be the most wins they’ve had since 2016 when they went 11-5.
