Why Bill Belichick thinks Seahawks QB Russell...

Sportscaster Dan Patrick suggested that the Seattle Seahawks’ front office is unhappy with quarterback Russell Wilson’s recent comments about the team’s state of affairs on his show.

Patrick claims that a source within the organization close to him relayed this information to him and that the present situation must change for the two sides to cooperate in the future.

“A source told me that the Seahawks’ management is not happy with Russell Wilson and his camp for taking this to the media,” Patrick said. “You wonder if they’re going to be able to co-exist . . .

“The current situation is not sustainable. That’s what I was told.”

However, before Seahawks fans brace for the worst, it should be noted that Wilson has a no-trade clause in his current contract and Seattle would have to eat an enormous amount of dead cap if the two sides actually agree to part ways.

In addition, the organization hired offensive coordinator Shane Waldron to accommodate Wilson and one would think that the two should have the chance to work closely together to enhance the offense before the veteran signal-caller decides he wants out for good.

While a divorce between the Seahawks and their franchise quarterback cannot be ruled out, it is highly unlikely that it will happen anytime soon.
