With another 1,000 yard season, Chris Carson would...

The Seattle Seahawks have had 22 instances of a running back gaining 1,000 yards on the ground in a single season.

Every player who has rushed for 1,000 yards in a Seattle uniform has done so at least three times – except Carson, who has now done it in back to back years.

Will 2020 be the year that Carson joins the club? With Rashaad Penny expected to begin the season on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list, Carson’s primary competition for carries will be Carlos Hyde.

Hyde likely won’t take carries away from Carson any more than Penny did, however, so the biggest hurdle for the fourth year back will be health. He missed games down the stretch with a hip injury, but is expected to be healed in time for training camp and the regular season.

If he doesn’t miss any time with injuries in 2020, there’s little reason to doubt he will reach 1,000 yards for the third time, joining this club:
