The Manning quarterback dynasty is alive and well. The third generation of football’s royal family is on its way to a bright football future.

Arch Manning, the son of Cooper (Peyton and Eli’s older brother) and grandson of Archie, is currently starring under center at his dad and uncles’ alma mater, Isadore Newman High School in Louisiana.

Arch is only a sophomore but has already drawn interest from several major college programs such as Alabama, Duke, Georgia, LSU, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Texas according to 247Sports, who have Manning ranked as the No. 5 overall recruit (No. 1 quarterback) of the 2023 class.

The Manning family, as usual, will make the decision collectively as for the right college for Arch to attend when the time comes.

“The biggest thing now is that he’s started to listen, is getting to know the coaches and taking it slow,” Newman head coach Nelson Stewart said, via the New York Post. “I think it’s going to be something [Cooper] said, ‘closer to a 1970s recruitment’ where it’s really all about relationships, learning not just about the program but the coaches and taking the glitter off things and getting to know the people.

“Some of these offers become like patches on a letter jacket and some kids are so fast and excited to announce on Twitter. It’s something where they are taking it humbly and any time you have that level of interest it’s fantastic and he’s doing things slowly and quietly to make the best possible decision. For him the moment isn’t when you sign but where you go after that. It’s been very refreshing and old school and the coaches have been very accepting of that which has been refreshing as well.”

Cooper Manning was the only Manning to not go on to have a professional football career. He was also the only Manning who didn’t play quarterback. Cooper was a wide receiver at Newman but did not get to play at Ole Miss after being diagnosed with spinal stenosis in his freshman year.

Grandpa Archie was the No. 2 overall pick in the 1971 NFL Draft out of Ole Miss by the New Orleans Saints. Uncle Peyton attended Tennessee as was the first pick in the NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts in 1998. Uncle Eli attended Ole Miss and was selected No. 1 overall in 2004 by the San Diego Chargers. He was traded to the Giants in a draft day deal.
